Her Booke

Fantastic mini exhibition at Lambeth Palace Library.

Centred around print making, illuminating and book collecting by Early Modern women, this has some amazing stuff. I particularly enjoyed the portrait of Elizabeth I at prayer by her close friend the miniaturist Lavina Teerlinc (whose work is also on display at the Tate Britain’s Now You See Us), and a Hilma Af Klint style vision piece from the 1600s.
